Debate – Grade 4
“Speech is power. Speech is to persuade, to convert, to compel.”
Grade 4 young orators of BD Somani International School, Kharghar confidently put up a grand Debate session on the topic- “Rewilding - benefits and risks”.
Rewilding is an innovative and inspirational way of restoring wild nature. By allowing natural processes to reshape and enhance eco-systems, rewilding can revitalise land and sea, creating spaces where nature and people can thrive in harmony.
But recently, rewilding has led to a lot of debate. To make this discussion more persuasive and thought-provoking, children actively participated in a debate activity wherein they smartly showcased their intellectual prowess, communication skills and critical thinking abilities. The activity followed a structured format wherein there were timers, grammarians and a panel of esteemed judges.
After intense deliberation, the judges declared the winners. Children had a fun filled healthy discussion on rewilding.
