A very warm welcome to B.D. Somani International School Kharghar.
Today's generation thinks differently, and their dreams and ambitions are not so traditional or conventional. They are set to challenge the perennially existing paradigms of education. As facilitators of knowledge, it is our responsibility and duty to prepare them for the options they choose in life.
A recent study predicts that 65% of today's grade school children will end up at a job that hasn't been invented yet. The world is living through a technological revolution. Significant breakthroughs will be observed in Nano Science, STEM, 3D Printing and Data.

We value individualism. Our different perception allows our students to relish their childhood. We focus on how children should learn and create innovative ways of transferring knowledge to enjoy success in one form or the other making their journey an adventurous one.
Being in the teach-learn profession for almost 35 years, I could see that traditional education and conventional schooling are killing creativity. I have always felt that children have a tremendous capacity for innovation. However, our education system doesn't permit them to make the mistakes they need to learn. We end up ruthlessly squandering their creativity.
Creativity and innovation enhance "Possibility Thinking" – the go-to mantra for sustaining in this complex world. Deep within my heart, I craved to reach out to children with the most required 21st-century skills. At the threshold of this craving, I crossed paths with B.D. Somani International School, Kharghar, where student empowerment is the primary focus. Heading B.D. Somani School moves me a step closer to my dream of creating and empowering generations with necessary life skills and developing the potential of each student, preparing them to become dynamic, caring and productive members of a democratic and interdependent society, as stated in our Mission.
